The VAT section covers Standard VAT, Flat Rate Scheme, Cash Accounting, Annual Accounting, Margin Scheme and Retail Scheme. This course is designed around practical schedule preparation and reconciliation. The original module allocated 24 hours each to VAT and Payroll. In this certificate structure, both areas are compressed into a focused 40-hour course while preserving the most important hands-on elements.
By the end of this course, the learner should be able to prepare VAT schedules, understand VAT return boxes, identify differences between VAT per accounts and VAT per return, prepare payroll related schedules, and reconcile PAYE, pension and net wages liabilities.
The programme is delivered in hybrid mode.
Minimum qualification: Undergraduate degree.
